A few days ago I did an informal survey of what aspects people looked at when hiring. There are a lot of variables I could have chosen but I kept it simple to price, reviews, personal connection, processes/expectations. Here are the results.
Reviews are king when hiring but if several companies had the same reviews, the process and the expectations become more important. As more of these aspects are the same between companies, price becomes even less important and reviews, processes/expectations and connections become much more valuable. Lots of companies have amazing reviews. The more similar you are to your competition the less price means. Are you working on your connections (marketing) and processes/expectations (operations) in your company?
It’s more important than you think.
